Concrete Work
Many retaining walls are built improperly and thus are prone to early failure. Several of the important design areas commonly overlooked by less experienced contractors are: embedding the piers (posts) deep enough into competent material or properly sizing the footings, and providing adequate drainage behind the wall. Hydrostatic pressure is a major cause of retaining wall failure and is an absolute requirement. Retaining walls built by Peters Construction do not fail, because Peters Construction walls are constructed using the soundest construction techniques and materials of the highest quality. We are also experienced and equipped to handle an array of concrete flatwork projects including patios and repairs, driveways and ADA compliant ramps.
